St Joseph's Charlestown ("SJC")
We are very proud of our
school motto, "In Christo Veritas" (Truth in Christ) and we strive to live like Jesus and to see Jesus in those around us.  Our Wellbeing team have devised our school values: Strive High, Live Like Jesus and Care for Our Environment.  These values are embedded in all we do at St. Joseph's.

St Joseph's Primary school was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1927.  We are a primary school dedicated to providing a quality education to children from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Significance of our crest: The Poppet Head recalls the mining history of the Charlestown area. The S.J. represents the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Lochinvar who have worked in the Charlestown area since 1927. The Waterfall reminds us of the Flaggy Creek waterfall above Glenrock Lagoon, a beauty spot of the local natural environment. The 'M' symbolises the Charlestown Parish of St Mary Immaculate to which this school belongs.
